Snellius remote visualization
On Snellius we provide a number of well-known visualization packages in the modules environment:
- ParaView
- ncview
- matplotlib
- Blender
Tools related to visualization that are also available are:
- FFmpeg
- ImageMagick
- CUDA
Support libraries, such as OpenMPI and HDF5 and NetCDF tools, are also installed.
It is also possible to compile and run custom OpenGL-based software, specifically on the Snellius and Lisa GPU-nodes. Such an application can then be run under VirtualGL in a VNC remote desktop, which will provide server-side GPU-accelerated rendering.
To be able to use different software packages and their versions a module system is used. See here for a description of the module system on Snellius.
